About this drive

Pahalgam is about ninety minutes beyond Anantnag, roughly three hours from Srinagar. The drive down passes the saffron fields at Pampore and the ruins at Avantipura, both worth a short stop. The vehicle stays with you all day and brings you back to Srinagar in the evening.

Before you book this route

Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari are local union vehicles

The last legs up the Lidder valley are reserved for Pahalgam-registered vehicles, again a union rule that applies to everyone. Your vehicle waits at Pahalgam while you take a union cab for those three points, and that fare is paid at the stand on the day.
