Gulmarg means 'meadow of flowers', and in early summer that's exactly what it is — a wide green bowl ringed by pine forest and, beyond it, the Apharwat range. In winter it turns into one of the best snow destinations in Asia, with the gondola carrying visitors up toward the peak.
Most of our itineraries treat Gulmarg as a day trip from Srinagar, but our winter package includes an overnight stay so you get a quiet morning on fresh snow before the day-trip crowds arrive.
