Ladakh Tour Packages from Srinagar

Srinagar to Leh over the Zojila pass — high passes, monasteries, big skies.

Our Ladakh trips run overland from Srinagar, over the Zojila pass, through Drass and Kargil to Leh — the route Rashid has driven more times than he can count. It's a different kind of trip from the valley: longer driving days, big changes in altitude, and landscape that goes from green to bare rock in a few hours.

We only run Ladakh in the months Zojila is realistically open and the roads are safe, and we build in an acclimatisation day in Leh before pushing on to Nubra or Pangong. This isn't a trip to rush.

Because the route depends on a pass that can close without warning, we stay in touch with drivers on the ground and will always tell you plainly if conditions mean a day needs to change.

Good to know

  • Zojila pass is the single biggest variable on this route — we monitor it daily and will reroute or reschedule rather than risk the crossing.
  • Leh sits above 3,500m; altitude sickness is real and unrelated to fitness — we build in a rest day and ask you to hydrate and go easy on day one.
  • Inner-line permits are required for Nubra and Pangong and are arranged locally in Leh, not something we can pre-issue.
  • Network coverage is patchy for long stretches between Kargil and Leh — let people at home know in advance.
  • Pack layers — daytime sun is strong, but temperatures drop fast once the sun is behind the mountains, even in summer.

Ladakh — frequently asked questions

We track the pass daily during the travel season. If it closes unexpectedly, we hold you safely on the Kashmir or Ladakh side, whichever you've reached, and adjust the itinerary rather than attempt the crossing.
