Vaishno Devi & Jammu Tour Packages

The Katra yatra, paired with Kashmir if you'd like to see both.

A good number of our guests fly into Jammu, do the Vaishno Devi yatra from Katra, and then continue north into Kashmir — so we built these itineraries to cover both in one trip without doubling back.

We arrange the vehicle, stay and sightseeing around Katra and Patnitop; the yatra itself — the walk or pony ride up to the shrine, and the yatra registration slip — is something every pilgrim does directly, and we brief you on how it works before you go.

If Kashmir isn't part of your plan, tell us and we'll quote the Katra and Jammu portion on its own.

Good to know

  • The yatra registration slip (RFID card) is free and mandatory — collected at the Katra counters or online in advance; we point you to the counter, but the walk itself is on your own.
  • Helicopter tickets to Sanjichhat cut most of the climb but sell out early in the day online — decide before you arrive if you want this option.
  • Ponies, palki and battery cars are available along the route and paid on the spot; these aren't part of the package price.
  • The climb is roughly 12–13 km one way from the base at Katra — comfortable footwear matters more than fitness level.
  • If continuing to Kashmir, the Jammu–Srinagar drive is a full day — we schedule it as its own travel day, not tacked onto sightseeing.

Jammu & Vaishno Devi — frequently asked questions
